As members of the Assessment Committee, we undertake several critical functions aimed at ensuring the quality and integrity of our institution's academic programs. First and foremost, we assist the Director of Assessment and Accreditation in developing a robust framework of policies and procedures. These are designed to meet the various assessment requirements imposed by our institution, the Board of Regents (BOR), the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC), and the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

I am honored to serve as a member of the Advisory Board for the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning. Within this role, my responsibilities are multi-faceted and extend to guiding the center's strategic direction, endorsing innovative teaching techniques, and advising on program development. In addition, I actively participate in the assessment and review of teaching innovation proposals and initiatives submitted to the center. The board aims to cultivate a culture of teaching excellence and pedagogical innovation across disciplines, thereby influencing the broader educational community within the institution. My participation on the board allows me the unique opportunity to shape teaching and learning strategies, thereby contributing to the enrichment of both faculty and student experiences.

I served as a Member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. During my time, I actively contributed to the committee's mission of fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within our academic institution. My responsibilities included participating in initiatives, policy discussions, and awareness campaigns aimed at creating a more inclusive and equitable environment for students, faculty, and staff. It was a rewarding experience to collaborate with dedicated colleagues and contribute to the advancement of diversity and inclusion in our institution during this period.

I had the privilege of serving as a reviewer for conference paper proposals for the esteemed American Educational Research Association (AERA) Annual Conferences. This responsibility entailed critically evaluating the quality, relevance, and rigor of submitted papers, ensuring they met the high academic standards set forth by AERA. My duties involved meticulously analyzing each proposal for its theoretical framework, methodology, data analysis, and overall contribution to the field of educational research. Through this role, I had the opportunity to influence the academic discourse by supporting cutting-edge research and helping to shape the conference agenda, thereby promoting scholarship that aligns with AERA's mission to advance knowledge about education and encourage scholarly inquiry related to education.

I have had the privilege of volunteering in the Blue Lake School District STEM Program. In this role, I actively participate in various STEM-related activities and initiatives, supporting students' engagement with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics subjects. My responsibilities include assisting in classroom activities, organizing STEM-related events, and fostering students' interest and enthusiasm for STEM fields. It continues to be a rewarding and impactful experience to contribute to the educational development of students in the Blue Lake School District.

I had the privilege of serving as a Mentor in the Youth Education Outreach Program. During my tenure in this role, which spanned several months or years, I worked closely with young individuals, providing guidance, support, and inspiration in their educational journeys. My responsibilities included offering academic assistance, fostering personal development, and helping them navigate challenges and opportunities. It was a rewarding experience to witness the growth and achievements of the youth I had the honor to mentor, knowing that I played a part in their educational and personal development.
